Our longest collaborations are conversations that became buildings. The NewLife mixed residence in Addis Ababa grew through years of changing briefs with the same partner — each revision folded into the design rather than fought — and that dialogue, more than any drawing, is what the finished building is made of.

At the heart of our philosophy is the belief that change is inevitable and should be embraced rather than resisted. Architecture must respond to evolving social, cultural, environmental, and technological conditions. Instead of designing fixed objects, we create adaptable places that remain relevant as needs and circumstances transform over time.

It is the same conviction behind Lacaton & Vassal’s “never demolish, always transform” and Elemental’s incremental housing in Chile — architecture that leaves room for what comes next. In our own work, the housing neighbourhood in Bochum is a framework its residents keep completing, and our mixed-use towers, like Super Bobo in Conakry, stack home, work and retail so the building can rebalance as the city around it changes.

This dynamic mindset informs every design decision we make. Every space, material, proportion, and detail serves a purpose. We believe beauty emerges from intention — where aesthetics and functionality work together rather than compete. Our designs are grounded in utility, yet elevated by thoughtful craftsmanship and a deep understanding of human experience.

At the Mora Heights hotel expansion in Arba Minch, the route from arrival to room to landscape is the design; in our industrial work the production line sets the geometry, and the architecture’s character is its honesty. For us, architecture is not simply about constructing buildings — it is about creating places that support life, foster connection, and inspire growth.
